In a show of confidence in the thriving, amenity rich heart of the city, Gold Coast City Council has announced an activation of the visionary Green Heart parkland project to be based in Robina. Council’s release of the Draft Masterplan for this exciting new project coincided with a pledge to connect the light rail to Robina and its major infrastructure including Cbus Super Stadium, Robina Town Centre and Bond University.
Robina City Parklands / Green Heart is conceptualised as the ‘Central Park’ of Gold Coast City, with plans to transform expansive Council land holdings into a large-scale family and botanic garden reminiscent of New York’s Central Park and London’s Hyde Park.
The $10Million set aside for Stage 1 of the development will be used to create multiple fishing platforms, event stages, walking trails and playgrounds, interspersed with waterways and extensive native planting.
Robina City Parklands is positioned immediately adjacent to Robina Group’s Vue Terrace Homes, now selling. Click to read our full report or watch the Channel 9 news coverage below where Division 11 Councillor, Hermann Vorster elaborates on these welcome Council initiatives.
