Two brand new terraces at Vue become family homes

Mark and Nikki Elrick wasted no time making the move to Robina’s Vue Terrace Homes community, settling in to their brand new abode just six weeks after signing their contract.

The couple wanted a Gold Coast home that was ready to move into, and were thrilled to be able to pick up the keys to a brand new terrace home without having to wait for construction to be completed.

Ms Elrick said the pair had considered buying an older, established home, but found the combination of quality and value on offer at Vue was too good to miss.

“We were introduced to Vue by our niece, Sammy, who moved here with her husband and kids last year, and we have been impressed with the community every time we have visited,” she said.

“It’s rare to be able to find a brand new home in really a central location like Robina, that is complete and ready to live in, so it really was the perfect fit for us.

“We looked at established homes nearby, but none offered the same value as Vue when you took in to account the cost of renovations and maintenance.

“We were able to look through a few of the completed terrace homes to choose the floor plan, colour scheme and orientation we liked, and being able to see the quality of the finished product really put our minds at ease.”

Ms Elrick said the feeling of security provided at Vue was another drawcard.

“The other thing that has made me feel confident about moving here is the fact it is a secure, gated community,” she said.

“My husband and son commute to work in Springfield, where we used to live, so it was important for me to feel comfortable in our new community.

“Everyone is really friendly so I feel at home already, and the boys are happy that they can easily walk to the train station or drive a few minutes to the motorway to get to work, knowing that I’m safe here.

“Everything I need is less than five minutes away, so I rarely need to make use of the public transport – or even the car – with plenty of shops, parks and restaurants an easy walk away.”

Nikki’s niece, Sammy Boynton, said she was thrilled her aunt, uncle and cousin had ‘joined the neighbourhood’.

“We moved into our home at Vue because we thought it would be a great place to raise a young family,” she said.

“Our kids absolutely love the huge pool area, and we like the fact we have access to a pool and barbeque area that we don’t have to maintain, so we always feel like we are on holiday.

“It’s a nice spot to entertain, and will be even better once the 22 hectare Robina City Parklands are completed next door to Vue – an amazing green space that will have incredible play equipment for kids and lots of sporting and recreation amenities.

“All of the terrace homes are so modern and really well designed, which was another big drawcard for us.

“We were renting a new home in Springfield so we didn’t want to move into an old property and inherit someone else’s problems.

“It’s been a great move for us and now having family close by has made it even better.”

Robina Group development manager Darrell Irwin said demand for new housing had increased in recent months, and with no supply of other similar completed terrace homes in central Gold Coast, this had proved a drawcard for Vue.

“Recent research from property analysts Urbis found that there are no future terrace homes in the pipeline nearby, so the final collection of completed homes in Vue represents a rare and limited opportunity for purchasers who want to get in to the market now,” he said.

“At the same time, recent data from realestate.com.au shows demand for apartments and terrace homes in Robina has increased by 21.95 per cent over the last year.

“This growing demand has in turn contributed to an increase in property values, with Robina having the highest house price growth on the Gold Coast in the past quarter, and an 8.5 per cent jump in the median price over the past 12 months, compared to 2.5 per cent for the Gold Coast*.

“The combination of strong demand, limited new home supply and increasing property values is what sets Robina apart from many other suburbs in the current market and I expect this trend to continue due to Robina’s central location and incredible array of infrastructure and amenities.”
