$170M Vue Terrace Homes crosses the finish line in a flurry of sales activity

Robina Group’s flourishing $170 million Vue Terrace Homes community in Robina has sprinted to a sell-out, with the final home sold in March following $25 million in sales since the start of the year.

The final sale marks the end of a major transformation of the 6 hectare parcel in Robina’s Stadium Village precinct, which enjoys a premium position alongside Robina City Parklands, Gold Coast City Council’s multi-million dollar ‘central park’ project, set to commence construction this year.

The popular gated community, which features 263 completed three-bedroom terrace homes and lifestyle facilities including a resort-style pool and barbeques overlooking the parklands, is now home to more than 500 residents, including the onsite managers and caretakers.

Robina Group development manager Darrell Irwin said demand for the final homes soared in 2021, with buyers predominately from within a 20 kilometre radius and other areas of South East Queensland.

“We sold the last 37 homes in the first three months of this year, highlighting the popularity of the development for our purchasers,” he said.

“More than 80 per cent of buyers in the final stage were locals ready to move into their new home, which drove sales momentum following completion of construction last year.

“Sale prices at Vue increased from an entry price of $599,000 at launch to $739,000 in the final stage, as buyers recognised the value of purchasing a new home in such a central and well-connected area, which continues to benefit from new public and private investment.

“There’s been a huge surge in interest in quality property on the Gold Coast this year, driven by low interest rates, strong interstate migration and a trend toward people reassessing their lifestyle priorities since COVID-19.

“Projects that stack up in terms of design, location and value are extremely sought-after.”

Robina Group director Tony Tippett said Vue had generated more than 3600 jobs, across 50 different trades, and injected more than $100 million into the local economy.

Construction company, Hutchinson Builders, oversaw the pouring of 24,000 cubic metres of concrete to complete the project, including one of the largest residential podium structures in the Southern Hemisphere, which is held up by 912 columns, together with enough linear metres of steel to reach from the Gold Coast to Sydney and back.

During construction, over 1,000 trees were planted together with the construction of more than 2 kilometres of picturesque walking paths, connecting to the 22 hectare Robina City Parklands project, which includes land donated to the City by Robina Group.

Mr Tippett said Vue Terrace Homes leaves a positive lasting legacy on Robina and the broader Gold Coast, consistent with Robina’s master plan vision.

“The community has been a significant catalyst for growth in the thriving Stadium Village precinct, re-energising what was vacant land around Cbus Stadium and cementing the area as a place where people live, work and play,” he said.

“The precinct is home to education and commercial facilities, connected to Robina Train Station and major arterial roads, in close proximity to Robina Town Centre, and the neighbouring Robina City Parklands will be enjoyed by generations to come.”

First home buyers Rob Thompson and Rae Harvey were among the locals who secured one of the final homes at Vue, saying the serene and central location was ‘unmatchable’.

“We found there was nothing else like Vue Terrace Homes on the Gold Coast. The community is located at the vibrant geographic heart of the city, has picturesque views and a relaxed and friendly resort-style feel – and we could move straight in,” said Ms Harvey.

“We haven’t been able to wipe the smiles off our faces. It is a beautiful home in a fantastic area, and we can see ourselves living here for many years to come.”
