This weekend in Gold Coast City there is fun for the whole family, with everything from Christmas entertainment, to markets, to concerts and celebrations. We’ve put together some of the highlights to make sure you make the most out of your weekend.

Morning Melodies at Robina: Australian Army Band Concert
Morning Melodies at Robina will feature the Australian Army Band Brisbane in their final concert for the year. The Australian Army Band Brisbane is one of the finest military bands in Australia, and you can see their performance at Robina for free!
The Robina Lions Club will be holding a Christmas Raffle, and you can purchase your Lions Christmas cake at the concert. There will also be a collection for AsisstASista, a charity that supports women in refuges who have been victims of domestic violence. Any donations of toiletries, cosmetics, new bed linen, pillows, towels, nappies, new toys, new cutlery sets, small kitchen appliances and other essential and non-essential items would be greatly appreciated.

X Factor Live Tour
The X Factor winner may have been announced, but the fun isn’t over for the final five contestants. The X Factor Live Tour is coming to Gold Coast City this weekend, where the top five will perform a selection from their most loved songs.
X Factor winner Dani Im will be joined by finalists Jai Waetford, Jiordan Tolli, Taylor Hendersen and Third D3gree trio in a music spectacular, with a striking stage and set design and outstanding production elements.
The concert will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday 30 November at 6:30pm. Tickets are $79, and VIP Meet and Greet and sound check packages are also available.

The Village Markets
Start your Christmas shopping at The Village Markets, Gold Coast City’s original and best boutique creative market. The Village Markets showcase up to 100 fashion, arts and creative stalls, as well as live local music and delicious gourmet food.
The markets are held on the first and third Sunday of every month at Burleigh Heads State School, only a 10 minute drive from Robina.

Surfers Paradise 80th Birthday Celebration
Gold Coast City’s Surfers Paradise turns 80 this weekend, and kids and families are invited to celebrate on the Surfers Paradise Foreshore. Come and enjoy rides and attractions, a spectacular sky display, a display from the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club, and don’t leave without a Surfers Paradise temporary tattoo.
Gold Coast City Mayor Tom Tate will bury a time capsule that captures Surfers Paradise’s past and present. The time capsule will be dug up in 20 years, on Surfers Paradise’s 100th birthday. Celebrations begin at 9am.

Carols Under the Stars at Skilled Park
On the first day of December, bring the family along to Skilled Park Robina for Carols Under the Stars. Proudly sponsored by Robina Group, the free event begins at 4pm with a fun fair with activities for the whole family, including face painting, make your own Christmas decorations, an animal nursery, and the RACQ Careflight chopper.
The Christmas entertainment begins at 6pm with the Australian Army Band, and the stars of Movie World’s White Christmas will perform A Very Looney Christmas. Santa will arrive at 8pm to launch the fireworks spectacular.
Park for free at Robina Town Centre, with free shuttle services running from 3:30pm – 9pm. The shuttles leave from the Promenade in front of Event Cinemas.
