Groove n Food Festival – Burleigh Heads, Miami and Nobbys

Three big days and nights of music, food, art and fun for all the family are on offer this weekend in Gold Coast City at the Groove n Food Festival, spanning across Burleigh Heads, Miami and Nobbys.

Featuring degustation lunches, ‘Dress me GC’ fashion lunch and fantastic fusion of Burleigh Brewing Co. and Ambarella Fine Foods, this Friday’s lineup of events is nothing short of epic.

Loads of local live music will entertain the masses, as well as kids activities and crafts and delectable offerings from local restaurants and cafes.

Swell Sculpture Festival, Currumbin Beach (13-22 September)

Don’t miss the final few days of this display of over 50 sculptures from Gold Coast, national and international artists at Currumbin Beach. This free outdoor exhibition is open all day/night with a selection of sculptures revealing a new verve as they are lit up under the southern sky.

Visitors can view the range of sculptures day or night, attend informative artist talks, discover new perspectives at the ‘The Couch’, wander through the Swell Smalls Gallery and participate in artist master classes and childrens’ workshops.

The annual Swell Sculpture Festival inspires, amuses and uplifts, and captures the hearts and minds of all who visit.

Gold Coast Jazz and Blues present Caxton Street Jazz Band – Arts Centre, Gold Coast

They’re renowned for their energetic, uplifting and entertaining performances and they are coming to Gold Coast City, performing live at the monthly Gold Coast Jazz and Blues show.

They are 6 piece musical group Caxton Street Jazz Band and they’re bringing their classic hot jazz to Gold Coast City this Friday night.

The Kids Weekend – Surfers Paradise Beach and Foreshore

Kick off the school holidays with a bang this weekend at the Kids Weekend in Surfers Paradise.

The coastal precinct of Surfers will be transformed with all things kids, including appearances from Spongebob Squarepants, Ronald McDonald and his friends Grimace, Birdie and Hamburglar.

Star Wars, train and lego displays, mini-golf, rock climbing, face painting and cupcake decorating are just some of the great offerings, as well as screenings of great films on the beach big screen by night.
