Nestled in the foyer of Robina’s Eastside Building is the little coffee shop making a big impact in the coffee community.

Open Monday to Friday, Robina’s Liquid Espresso Bar has been voted Gold Coast City’s second best coffee on cult coffee website Beanhunter, with glowing reviews reflecting the outstanding service and coffee on offer.

Using Black Sheep Coffee beans, an exclusive coffee supplier with only a select few stockists in Brisbane and Gold Coast City, Liquid Espresso also sells daily pre-made food including some of Gold Coast City’s best banana bread, cakes and sandwiches.

In addition to delicious coffee, cafe owner Skye is the heart and soul of this little piece of coffee paradise.

Eclectic, energetic and effervescent, it’s hard to believe this barista who cultivates coffee with confidence had never made a cup of coffee in her life before starting her business.

A world champion full contact martial arts fighter and survivor of near-fatal meningococcal disease, Skye’s story is remarkable.

Leaving an unfulfilling job and looking for a new opportunity, Skye dived in head first and bought Liquid Espresso without any coffee knowledge, then learned the art of coffee and now relishes in serving up happiness on a daily basis.

Fanatical about coffee, Skye’s perfectionism translates into each cup and it helps that her photographic-like memory never lets her forget a name, face or coffee order.

More than just delicious coffee and cakes, customer service is the backbone of Liquid Espresso and Skye says the Robina community has become like family to her.

“Robina is growing and thriving and so is the coffee industry. It made sense to set up in Robina as it’s so accessible, with the train station, the M1 and Robina Town Centre all within easy reach” Skye said

On hand to help serve up Gold Coast City’s daily caffeine fix is Skye’s right hand woman Pania (as pictured with Skye).

Liquid Espresso’s coffee is described on Beanhunter as consistently great and super smooth and Skye is hailed as a wonderful host with the ability to ‘get those Black Sheep beans singing’.

Try one of Skye’s perfect cups of coffee – head to Liquid Espresso at Robina’s Eastside Building, with pedestrian access from 232 Robina Town Centre Drive and vehicle access on Waterfront Place, off Laver Drive.
