Robina’s first express laundromat has opened in Sidewalk on Scottsdale and is offering domestic and commercial laundry services. Robina Laundromat is a family business owned and operated by Tony and Tracey Carpenter.
Tony and Tracey have spent most of their lives in Robina, and their son and daughter currently attend school in the Robina area. Tony says they wanted to open a family business where they had the freedom to do what they want.
“Basically we just wanted something that was going to be a family business, something we could work at, and be able to work our own hours and offer the services that we want,” he says.
“We’re proud to be Robina’s first laundromat.”
Robina Laundromat is far from the old, dingy Laundromats of the past. The state-of-the-art facility features an internet kiosk, snack machine and a large TV to entertain you while you wait, and the eight industrial washing machines operate on half hour cycles.
Anyone is welcome to use the washing machines that cater for all types of washes, the affordable price of $6 per wash includes fabric softener and washing power. The fast express clothes dryers only cost $1 for six minutes.
The drop and go service is ideal for those who are hard-pressed for time or who would prefer to spend their time doing other things instead of their laundry. Simply drop your washing off between 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday or 9am – 12:30pm on Saturday, and we can wash, dry and fold your washing for you. They can even do your ironing and wash your doona!
In addition to their extensive domestic laundry services, Tony and Tracey also offer commercial services for businesses and clubs including free pickup and delivery, and you can also hire tea towels and dish cloths from the laundromat.
Robina Laundromat offer loyalty cards, where customers pay for nine washes and get the tenth wash for free. You can get your loyalty card stamped during staffed hours (7:30am – 4pm from Monday to Friday, and 9am – 12:30pm on Saturday). They are currently running a special giveaway where all loyalty cards that are complete with ten stamps will go into the draw to win an Xbox 360. The prize will be drawn on Christmas Eve.
Tony says the days of the dusty old washers and dryers are over, and Robina Laundromat is proud to offer the best in laundry technology.
“We’ve taken laundromats to the next level,” he says.
“Long gone are the days of old white machines.”
