Pet owners, animal lovers and four-legged friends unite – this Sunday 18 May 2014 sees Gold Coast City host the annual RSPCA Million Paws Walk at Broadwater Parklands.

The Million Paws Walk is one of Australia’s biggest and most popular dog events, where people and pooches join in a healthy walk at over 26 state-wide locations to raise much-needed funds for the RSPCA to fight animal cruelty.

The Gold Coast City event offers both 1.5km and 3km walks and hundreds of pet owners and their puppies are expected to partake this year.

Through registration fees for walkers, merchandise sales and fundraising pages, organisers hope to raise $250,000 at this years Gold Coast City Million Paws Walk.

These funds help the RSPCA care for dogs that are abandoned, surrendered or seized, enabling them to be desexed and vaccinated before being rehomed with loving families.

Furthermore, funds raised can help the RSPCA with vital programs, services and campaigns aimed at stamping out animal cruelty.

More than just a walk, Million Paws Gold Coast City has multiple activities and events planned this Sunday, including RSPCA Humane BBQ, various pet-related exhibitors, live entertainment, large gated off-leash play area for your pups, RSPCA education marquee and information hubs, jumping castle, dog hydrobath stations, merchandise for purchase, food outlets and much, much more.

Register online before the event this Sunday by visiting Million Paws Gold Coast City and save or you can also easily register on the day.
