Local Gold Coast City street food market Miami Marketta have responded to the community’s requests and expanded, offering new and exciting mid week themed markets.
A few Robina Group team members checked out the Wednesday Tapas Club last week and we can report back with glowing reviews.
Showcasing their trademark funky street vibe, the Marketta restaurant/dining area had a vintage vibe, set up for tapas and distinctly designed for sharing and socializing.
Outdoor heaters glowed with warmth and funky tunes filled the air from resident DJ Freddy Fly Fingers. A wine and cocktail bar offered liquids for all taste buds, including a gorgeous ginger beer from local Tweed Brewery Pickled Pig and a good selection of boutique beers. As well as a great range of booze at their bar, Tapas Club is also BYO beer and wine.
Cosy food carts lined the ‘street’ with a selection of tasty tapas, from compact and crave-worthy vegetarian nachos to winter-warming Venezulean veggie hotpots and tantilising Japanese tempura scallops.
Special mention goes to our collective team tapas pick of the night – the Japanese sweetcorn hot cakes that literally melted in our mouths in all their buttery, sweetcorn-y glory.
We topped off our delicious, multiple mini-meals with a couple of small, sweet treats – warm sticky date pudding with the richest, most indulgent butterscotch sauce and decadent, to-die-for soft, gooey peanut brownie, which almost saw us lining up for seconds.
The verdict – Wednesday Tapas Club at Miami Marketta is the only way to spend your hump-day evening. Kicking off from 5pm, it’s an easy, no-fuss, local mid-week dining experience designed to share and as an added bonus, it’s very gentle on your wallet.
Gather up your friends, take the kids along and get your taste buds ready for this amazing tapas sensation.
Miami Marketta is located a short 10 minute drive from the heart of CBDRobina.
