We’re halfway through annual Mental Health Week and here at Robina Group, we are focussing this week on all things mental wellness.

Mental Health Week coincides with World Mental Health Day on 10 October and this year, runs from 5 to 12 October 2014. MHW encourages us to reflect on mental health and take positive steps towards mental wellbeing.

As part of Mental Health Week, each state rolls out a campaign and this year Queensland are taking on the theme ‘MIND-CLICKS – where minds meet’. MIND CLICKS is all about the ‘click’ with a person, group or activity, the ‘ah-ha’ moment where you feel connected, supported and positive about your mental health.

Head over to the Mind Clicks website, where you can share your MIND-CLICK and leave your mental health promise on the pledge wall and see others pledges to make positive changes in their lives to promote better mental health.

There’s loads going on nationally and here in Queensland to mark Mental Health Week.

In addition to the long list of MIND-CLICKS events, the 2014 Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards are underway this week, with the winners crowned at the awards ceremony on Friday 10 October 2014. Presented by Open Minds and sponsored by the Queensland Alliance, the awards recognise those people and organisations in our community that are affecting positive change to improve mental health awareness, including programs and services to assist people as they recover from mental health issues.

Stay tuned this week as we keep you posted on all things mental health as we lead up to World Mental Health Day on Friday.
