The $40 million, 82 residence Paddington Terraces @ Robina in Gold Coast City has been named the winner of the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Queensland 2013 Medium Density Development – Large award.

Taking out the only win for a Gold Coast City development in the State awards, Paddington Terraces @ Robina has been well received by both the development industry and purchasers alike.

Launched in 2011 the development was undertaken by Robina Group and is the latest in a long line of projects by the company within its Robina masterplanned community at the heart of Gold Coast City.

Robina Group Director Tony Tippett said the award win was a strong endorsement by the industry for the development and a fitting acknowledgement of its quality and uniqueness.

“Paddington Terraces @ Robina design was inspired by the popular inner city terrace homes in Sydney and Melbourne and its sell out just two weeks after completion shows there was strong market acceptance for this style of property,” he said.

“The two level residences, located within walking distance of the Robina Town Centre and all that it offers, provide a lifestyle that has broad appeal to a large sector of the community.

“Our purchasers have included a range of demographics including couples, first home buyers, young professional singles, empty nesters, investors and small families hailing from local, interstate and overseas locations.

“Demand for this product type is also immensely strong in the rental market with many local agents keeping waiting lists for rentals at Paddington Terraces @ Robina.”

Paddington Terraces @ Robina, which was built by Condev Construction, has been developed on a 1.4 hectare site fronting Laver Drive and comprises residences ranging in size from 141 square metres to 159 square metres.

Mr Tippett said Robina was now home to almost 35,000 people and it was becoming one of Gold Coast City’s most sought after suburbs because of its location, its infrastructure and facilities and the wide variety of high quality housing options that are available within its boundaries.

“With a 30 year history, the relatively young Robina has grown exponentially and now stands proudly as one of the best examples of a complete masterplanned residential and business hub in the world,” he said.

“We are the geographic heart of Gold Coast City and with facilities like the Robina Town Centre and its more than 350 specialty shops plus major supermarkets and department stores, extensive entertainment and recreation options, transport, education, medical and business precincts and an interconnected network of parks, walkways, cycle and jogging tracks waterways and green space Robina is truly unique.”

Mr Tippett said Paddington Terraces @ Robina was at the heart of everything that Robina had to offer and provided high quality affordable housing options for a broad cross section of the community.

Paddington Terraces @ Robina comprises 82 individually designed residences set in a green, tranquil environment with a central residents’ recreation area and barbeque facilities.

The residences comprise two and three bedrooms, all have two bathrooms and a powder room and a dedicated media room or separate living area on the second floor. They were originally priced from $399,000 and the remaining residences are priced from $469,000.

Mr Tippett said Robina Group was thrilled to have been named as the winner of the UDIA’s Medium Density Development – Large award, and he acknowledged the invaluable contribution of a dedicated project team and external consultants including architect Andrew Halstead and builders Condev Construction.

“The award‐winning principles and market feedback are now being integrated into Robina Group’s newest Robina terrace home project CityVillage.”
