Fashionistas get ready – this Saturday 7 June 2014, City of Gold Coast hosts a Fashion Manufacturing seminar at Robina Community Centre.

You will leave armed with inside knowledge of the manufacturing process and all the skills needed to get the best results from both overseas and local manufacturers.

The seminar will cover manufacturing options and the full design to delivery process, plus seeking and communicating with suppliers, how to achieve smooth and economical process and all the know-how around quality control, compliance, mitigating risk, sustainability and ethical practices.

With vast experience in fashion fame and fortune, facilitators for this fashion event are Lyn Harris, Anna Kempshall and Penelope Day.

Harris brings over 40 years of fashion industry experience, with extensive knowledge of manufacturing, wholesale, retail and export and import.

Kempshall has 20 years experience in manufacturing some of the biggest swimwear labels and has recently started her own label Annake Swimwear.

Day offers two decades of fashion career insight, with unrivalled knowledge and experience in product development, production and design on the national and global scale. Day now channels her extensive experience executing and managing processes from design inception to in-store delivery into educating and mentoring others in the fashion industry, plus running her own plus-size fashion label.
