The annual Mudgeeraba Show turns 86 this year and with age no barrier, this weekend sees Mudgeeraba Showgrounds transform to host Gold Coast City’s favourite agricultural show.

Mudgeeraba Show President Ted Shepherd promises an expanded and enhanced layout and infrastructure in 2014 to allow larger sites to spread throughout the grounds and improve safety and function for show-goers.
New stage locations, the addition of a food court, new and improved Members Area and increased attractions mean this years’ Mudgeeraba Show will be bigger and better than ever before.

With blue skies forecast for Saturday and Sunday, guests can leave their gumboots at home to enjoy the stellar line-up the Show Society has on offer.

Almost 40,000 people are expected to attend this year, far exceeding numbers from years before.

Offering a huge line-up of events including hotly contested State of Origin wood-chopping competition and the Show’s famous dunny races, as well as equestrian events, entertainment, live music and a fun filled night program, the Show ticks all the boxes for an epic Gold Coast City event.

Two big stages offer entertainment throughout the weekend, including music, song, dance, cheer and more. Art, craft and education pavilions are set up throughout the grounds and local trade exhibitors display their supplies and services.

For the young and young at heart, there’s rides, sheep dog trials, animal nursery, roving entertainment, FMX and BMX demo’s, educational reptiles, sand sculpting, pig racing and more.

Sunday’s ute muster sees a ute display to rival all others, plus there’ll be a country music stage offering live tunes all day, all weekend.

A fantastic family outing, the Mudgeeraba show is short drive from CBDRobina and a must for your weekend calendar.
