This Friday 22 August is the Cancer Council’s annual Daffodil Day, featuring a number of initiatives to help raise funds for cancer research and prevention and patient support programs.
There are various ways to get involved this Daffodil Day; buy and wear a daffodil pin, buy some fresh daffodils, buy or sell official merchandise or simply donate to the Cancer Council to help them continue their crucial work in our community.
Get involved in fundraising at your school, child care centre or workplace by holding a ‘yellow day’, selling merchandise or hosting a morning tea and collecting donations.
Just as valuable as dollars is time and you could give your time this Daffodil Day by volunteering. Join a team of volunteers this Friday 22 August and man a stall to help sell merchandise for this very worthy cause.
You can share your support for Daffodil Day with the virtual world too. Upload a picture of yourself showing off your Daffodil Day pin to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and include a special message to honour someone you know that has been touched by cancer and write about what Daffodil Day means to you.
Get serious about defeating cancer and help support Cancer Council this Friday for Daffodil Day.
