From home delivery to takeaway to drive-through to digital:
these central Gold Coast businesses have you covered

There’s no doubt we’re in the midst of something none of us predicted.  This situation is still unfolding, and whilst we don’t know what the future holds, or how many minutes we are allowed to spend at the hairdresser, we can report it’s not all doom and gloom and toilet paper wars.  Instead of battling the Karens in the flour aisle of Woolies this April, settle in for an indefinite holiday at “La Couch Royale” – we’ve got you covered … and it even includes booze!

A number of Robina/Varsity businesses – or Gold Coast businesses servicing the area – are ready and waiting to help you #flattenthecurve and #stayathome.  Whether that’s dropping comfort food right to your door (contact-free of course), saving you a trip out to the greengrocer, or a bulk-billed tele-health consultation, we have rounded up all of the from-home conveniences to make your self isolation easier.

INSIDER TIP:  Love your local?  Don’t want them to close?  Why not buy a gift certificate for yourself or a mate, and take a raincheck on that dining in experience.  We are sure they will thank you for the support.

Alcohol

It seems our illustrious leader has determined the humble bottleo is an “essential service” – duh!  So most bottle shops are still open – please follow social distancing rules and take care.  However, if it’s home delivery you’re after (#stayhome) there’s a few options to the rescue:

Your local restaurant – Did you know licensed restaurants are now allowed to sell takeaway booze?  Well now you do.  When you order with one of the above restaurants, ask about their beverage menu to round out your next home meal.  This includes: bottled or canned beer, wine, spirits (up to 750ml), cider and ready-to-drink beverages.  A maximum of 2.25L of alcohol total per transaction.

Barolo & Friends – this new Gold Coast business has come online in out time of need – and CHEERS to that!  Check out their home delivery wine service at https://www.barolofriends.com.au/for affordable, local wines to award-winning top shelf tipples.  They also provide expert wine reviews and recommendations. What are you waiting for?

The Boutique Wine Specialists – Raise your glass to this local wine wholesaler (which supplies many local restaurants), that is now opening orders to the public – to enable their business to get through this crisis.  Based on Panorama Drive, you can contact them direct to order and whilst they deliver across the whole Gold Coast, they have offered to waive the $10 delivery fee “if you are close” (please check your with them first).  Visit them here: https://www.facebook.com/aiwwsb/
