As Gold Coast City prepares for the festive season, get into the Christmas spirit with Carols Under The Stars at Skilled Park Robina on Sunday 1 December.

The free event will run for the first time at Robina’s iconic Skilled Park, allowing the carols to increase in size and participation from last year’s event at Varsity Lakes.

The CSQ Free Fun Fair will entertain the whole family from 4pm – 6pm with free activities including face painting, an animal nursery, an inflatable, sports activities, a miniature train exhibit, Japanese dancing, and you can even make your own Christmas decorations to take home.

Get up close and personal at the Fair with special guests including the Gold Coast Titans, Cricket Queensland, Netball Queensland, the RACQ Careflight Chopper, the Neighbourhood Watch Paddywagon and a police horse.

The carols begin at 6pm, and you can bring a rug and sit on the field, or enjoy the festivities from the grandstand.

Event Coordinator Katharine Di Pompo said this year’s event is going to be bigger and better than ever.

“We’ve got some fabulous acts on the night,” she said.

“The Australian Army Band is one of the top performing bands in Australia and very rarely are they able to do performances like this.”

For the kids, the stars of Movie World’s White Christmas event will perform A Very Looney Christmas.

It wouldn’t be a Christmas celebration without Santa, who will arrive at 8pm to begin the fireworks spectacular.

You can park for free at Robina Town Centre and use the free shuttle service from 3:30pm – 9pm, leaving in front of Event Cinemas on The Promenade.

Carols Under The Stars is an alcohol free event, proudly sponsored by Robina Group and CityVillage Terraces at Robina.
