Fresh from Reno Rumble and The Block, reality television stars Carlene and Michael Duffy have taken the wraps off their latest venture – the interior styling of a $500,000 full-scale apartment display at The Robina Group’s striking Bohème development.
The design-savvy duo have furnished the Bohème display, their latest project since stepping off the set of reality TV to focus on a new direction for their interior design company Cedar & Suede, which has just been relaunched as an online consulting business and blog.
The Robina Group has developed the full scale apartment display to give buyers an opportunity to see the quality of the Bohème project just weeks after the development was approved.
Bohème, which is already more than 65 per cent sold off-the-plan, features 52 apartments in its first release and is part of the $200 million masterplanned CityVillage urban community.

“We are feeling extremely positive about where the re-launch of Cedar & Suede will take us and have put the disappointment of Reno Rumble and The Block far behind us as we unveil the latest glimpse of our design style,” she said.
“The two bedroom Bohème Apartment display was a great canvas for us to work with – it really highlights how you can add elements of subtle sophistication to any space and create a home that has broad appeal.
“We opted for a fairly upmarket, neutral palette with good quality pieces that will stand the test of time – like real leather sofas and wool rugs, then added some sass with metallic feature pieces and unique artwork and lighting. It’s all about putting a personal stamp on the space and that’s the whole ethos of Cedar & Suede.
“We have just re-launched Cedar & Suede as an online business, which allows us to work as design consultants right across Australia to a whole range of clients – from families looking to update their homes right through to commercial operators keen to add flair to their corporate space or display projects like Bohème.
“Some people might be nervous about engaging a design consultant, but we are simplifying the process by having our clients provide a design brief and image board to us online, so we have a clear idea from the outset of what they are trying to achieve.
“Having this information up front allows us to reduce costs and provide more targeted feedback about what can be achieved, and because Michael has experience in construction we can provide design advice that clients can be sure is feasible for the space they have to work with.”
The Robina Group director Tony Tippett said the Bohème display set new standards for off-the-plan apartment sales on the Gold Coast.
“It’s extremely rare for buyers to be able to step into a full-scale replica of their apartment before the project has even started construction,” he said.
