The Aussie Muscle Car Run is underway with the QLD teams currently making a run from Rockhampton to Bundaberg and proceeds going to the Leukaemia Foundation.
This event is not a competition, but a leisurely cruise designed to show off legendary Aussie muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s to the wider public.
Robina Group is supporting team Cruizn for a Qure in QLD, who are driving a Classic HQ SS Holden in its original condition with an upgraded 454 big-block Chevy engine.
The owner of the Holden Matt Freeman and it is his pride and joy.
“I’ve always loved the HQ Holden Shape, my cousin picked it up quite a few years ago and from the first day I saw it, I knew that one day I would own it.”
Matt and co-driver Michelle are getting involved to make a difference at the event, especially as their daughter’s friend is currently fighting leukaemia.
Currently the QLD event has raised $18,163 and the “Cruizin for a Qure” team has raised over $3,000.

The Leukaemia Foundation is Australia’s key organisation for blood cancer, providing free service to support people as well as funding research.
No ongoing government funding is received and the foundation relies on the support of the community to fund the initiatives.
