It’s the 31st day of December today and the sun is about to set on 2014 in Gold Coast City. True to our culture of celebration and fun, our city is set to light up with events to ring in the new year. We’ve put together a list of some of the best events on the menu tonight in Robina and across Gold Coast City.
It’s not a New Year’s Eve party without spectacular fireworks. Gold Coast City are lighting up the night sky with an early fireworks for the family, followed by a midnight light show to welcome 2015. Fireworks displays will be held tonight at Kurrawa and Pratten Parks, Broadbeach, Broadwater Parklands, Kirra/Coolangatta beach, Coomera, Main Beach, North Kirra Surf Club, Ormeau, Paradise Point, Surfers Paradise and Robina Town Centre.

Robina Town Centre have a party planned for all the family, kicking off at 6pm and featuring roving entertainment, balloon twisters, five piece band, fire twirlers and fireworks at 9pm. With exceptional dining options along the Promenade and loads of parking, Robina Town Centre is set to appeal to many Gold Coast City families celebrating New Year’s Eve.
For the revellers seeking child-free nightlife tonight, Gold Coast City will not disappoint. Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise restaurants, bars and clubs have a plethora of parties to choose from, ranging from Alice in Wonderland themed “Down The Rabbit Hole” Party at East Restaurant Lounge Bar and Nightclub to Surfers’ QT Hotel’s Miramar Playa South Beach 1959 Party and many more. Hotel CBD at Varsity Lakes are hosting a Black, White and Bling dress up party tonight to see in the new year, with prizes for best dressed and a DJ entertaining from 8pm.
