The Division 11 (Robina) Community Awards are due to be held this morning at Robina Community Centre on Tuesday at 10am.
Councillor Jan Grew will honour members of the Robina community, who are volunteers, at a Community Awards ceremony.
There are many community, charitable, sporting, cultural and not-for-profit organisations that do tremendous work in our local community and these awards are to honour the extraordinary contribution many people make to the lives of others in our city, nationally and internationally.
Volunteers are the backbone of our society, as they work quietly and tirelessly to help others in our community and make our area such a great place to live. The selfless dedication of these people I believe should be acknowledged, and through these awards, you will have the opportunity to put forward nominations for members of your organisation that you believe should have this recognition.
An awards ceremony and morning tea will be held this morning at 10.00am at the Robina Community Centre and the nominees will be recognised and presented with Certificates of Appreciation to acknowledge their work.
