CBDRobina’s growing reputation as a hub for technology and innovation has helped engineer the latest sale in the Robina Group’s CityPods commercial precinct.
Tech firm Stratus Integrated Systems has purchased a 254sqm CityPod for $980,000.
Stratus specialises in integrating technology networks into residential homes, ensuring they are ‘future-proof’ and able to keep pace with digital and electronic advances.
Stratus managing director Ivan Rostas already has an office at The Rocket in CBDRobina, and says he decided to invest in a second property to accommodate his future business expansion, choosing nearby CityPods because of his confidence in the area.
“For me, Robina is the CBD for future-focused industries on the Gold Coast,” he said.
“I was previously based at Southport, but made the switch to CBDRobina because I feel that it is better equipped to support innovative industries, with proximity to Bond University and a growing collegiate of like-minded technology and science businesses,” he said.
“Our business is very future-focused, so we need our new administrative base to look and feel contemporary, which is just one reason why we chose CityPods.
“Accessibility was the other key factor. It will be easy for our staff to move between The Rocket and our new base at CityPods, which boasts proximity to the M1 and dedicated parking at the doorstep – allowing for a more direct commute from home.
“We plan to use 90sqm on the ground floor for Stratus operations and lease the 164sqm balance which includes a street level reception area plus the full second level, generating an additional income stream.
“I have done my research – CBDRobina has one the lowest vacancy rates of any office precinct in Australia so I feel confident that I will be able to easily secure and retain a quality tenant.”
The Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said CityPods had attracted a diverse mix of owner-occupiers, investors and tenants, with all businesses citing location and design as key drawcards.
CityPods is located at the heart of Robina/Varsity Lakes, which according to the Property Council of Australia, has the highest volume of occupied office space of any Gold Coast City commercial precinct.
“The common thread among businesses that call CityPods home is the understanding that a central location and effective workspace are critical components for success,” he said.
“What constitutes an effective workspace varies from business to business, and CityPods has been designed with open, flexible floorplans which can be customised to meet those individual needs.
“Each CityPod comes with a kitchen, two bathrooms and a built-in timber and concrete reception desk allowing businesses to move in and commence operating straight away.
“This works well for both existing businesses looking to expand their footprint with minimal downtime, as well as start-ups that want the ability to create a space that fits the personality of their business from the outset.”
CityPods features a total of 15 stand-alone two storey offices, each with open plan air-conditioned office space, on-building corporate signage and dedicated on site carparking.
A limited number of CityPods is now available for lease, with areas from 103 to 304sqm. For further information, contact Marcus Weld at Robina Marketing Australia on 0414 726 207 or mweld@robina.com.au.
