The Skilled Park signage at Robina Stadium has been removed as the announcement came today of a new naming rights partner for the state-of the-art sporting ground.

For at least the next five years, in a multi-million dollar agreement with Stadiums Queensland, the home of the NRL Gold Coast Titans will now officially be known as Cbus Super Stadium.

Robina Group welcomes Cbus Super to CBDRobina and we think it’s a fantastic name for what is certainly a ‘super’ sporting facility, with a capacity of nearly 30,000 in event mode.

Cbus Super chairman Steve Bracks, the former Victorian premier, said the national industry fund for the construction, building, infrastructure and allied industries was the perfect fit for the booming Gold Coast region.

“We see this as a central way of promoting ourselves in an important state and an important code,” he said.

“We see the Gold Coast as one of the key areas in growing our fund.

“Whether it’s trade-based skills or self-employed tradespeople, there’s a lot of activity going on and this is activity we want as part of our fund.

“We can do it at an iconic ground which will become Cbus Super Stadium. The Gold Coast is one of the biggest growing places in Australia and we want to be a part of it.”

Opened in 2008, Cbus Super Stadium will be one of the venues for Gold Coast City’s 2018 Commonwealth Games.  The stadium also plays host to a range of World Series Rugby Sevens matches which started in 2011.

There is enormous potential of this Stadium Village area of Robina with significant recreational, entertainment and open space opportunities for the growing population.

Adjacent to Robina’s train station and transport hub, and home to Bond University’s new Institute of Health and Sport, over the coming years the space surrounding Cbus Super Stadium will become a vibrant social and commercial hotspot – a place for all people, celebrating our community, recreation and the environment.

The first Titans game of the year is scheduled for March 16 and the new signage will be in place before then.
