New Zealand-based medical recruitment agency, MedRecruit, has committed to leasing an office at 69 Laver Drive in CBDRobina, as it expands its presence in Australia.

The company has secured a 250sqm office on a three year lease, with a three year option, on the lower level of the 69 Laver building, known as ‘Riverwalk Offices’.
The two-level building formerly housed the Australian Federal Police and has undergone an extensive revamp by developer Robina Group to now comprise three premium office spaces.

MedRecruit joins beauty specialists, Gold Coast Training Academy, which operates from a 1095 space at street level, and Robina Group is finalising a lease for the final 157sqm office.

Established in 2006, MedRecruit is a medical recruitment agency that aims to match doctors with the right hospital to suit both their skills and lifestyle. The company opened its first, and only, Australian office at Tweed Heads in 2011.

MedRecruit managing director Dr Sam Hazledine said the company had relocated to the larger premises at Riverwalk Offices this month.

“We decided to make the move to an office that would accommodate our growing team and future proof us for additional growth,” he said.

“We had been looking for some time for an office that provided us with these options for expansion, suited an open play layout and had good access to infrastructure.

“We looked at a number of locations and the two things that ultimately influenced our decision was the central position of CBDRobina for our employees and its all-round attractiveness, with shops, dining, transport and more at the doorstep.”

The Riverwalk Offices are just 400 metres walk to Robina Town Centre and 450 metres to the Robina Train Station and bus interchange, at the heart of CBDRobina, home to growing list of major corporate companies, private commercial operators and government departments.

It is also within close proximity to Queensland Health’s Robina Health Precinct and Robina Hospital.

Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said companies like MedRecruit were relocating to CBDRobina because of its position at the geographical heart of Gold Coast City and the unparalleled commercial, residential, lifestyle and infrastructure amenity on offer.

“CBDRobina is within a 20 minute drive of 86 per cent of Gold Coast City’s population and, for those without a car, is serviced by bus routes and two train stations at Robina and Varsity Lakes, so it is an appealing location for staff,” he said.

“It has also been carefully masterplanned over three decades to ensure it features all the modern amenities that employees want, from car parking to lifestyle options like cafes, gyms, shops and cinemas.

“The contemporary and diverse range of new, open plan offices available further add to the appeal, along with the fact companies know they will be operating from an area that is home to so many other major businesses.”

Mr Slater said Robina Group had commercial offices available for sale or lease in CBDRobina in the new stand-alone CityPods and premium office building, The Base.
