Twas the night before Christmas and down by the beach

The surfboards and sunscreen lay within easy reach

Awaiting a morning rush down to the sand

With new buckets and boogey boards clasped in small hands

The children are all tucked in under only a sheet

With tan lines from thongs adorning their feet

Dad, assembling a tramp, speaks words most forbidden

While Mum looks for presents she forgot where she’s hidden

When you wake in the morning to 40 degrees

Enjoy the day with your family to do as you please

Enjoy the sun and the water and the house looking pretty

Merry Christmas to all in our fine Gold Coast City
