CBDRobina’s centrality and accessibility have driven its emergence as a major education and training hub for Gold Coast City.

Recent arrivals to CBDRobina include IT and multimedia training provider Evocca College at The Rocket and beauty academy Gold Coast Training Academy (GCTA), which has leased the first floor of 69 Laver Drive.

They join Australian Industry Trade College (AITC), corporate educator Australian Institute of Management and registered training organisations EIM Training, National College of Business, Aurora Training Institute and Health Academy Australia in choosing a Robina address.

Bond University recently increased its Robina presence with the Bond Institute of Health and Sport relocating to the high performance centre (former Titans building) located adjacent to Skilled Park. Bond also has a presence at Robina Hospital with the Bond University Clinical Education and Research Centre.

Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said the number and diversity of providers now calling CBDRobina home underscored the suburb’s credentials as a leading hub for education and training.

“While these institutions offer a wide array of educational options, they all want to be easily reached by their students and staff via private or public modes of transport,” he said.

“The location in the geographic heart of the city that is serviced by major road and rail networks gives it an A for accessibility.”

Mr Slater said CBDRobina’s innovative commercial buildings, sites available for custom-built establishments and its exceptional amenity for staff and students including retail and entertainment facilities were other incentives for education providers.

“The area offers commercial leasing options including prestigious corporate tower The Rocket, CityPods (Stages 1 and 2 nearing completion) and 69 Laver (one space remains), in addition to the opportunity to purpose-build facilities on the final sites now selling in M1 Business Precinct,” he said.

“Many of these education providers have also been drawn to the fact they can have CBDRobina’s vibrant retail heart – Robina Town Centre – on their doorstep.

“It offers their staff and students Gold Coast City’s most exciting shopping, dining and entertainment destination.

“These factors combined with the ease of accessibility sets CBDRobina apart as the city’s premier choice for education providers.”

Evocca College national development manager Zane Beard (pictured) said CBDRobina’s plentiful public transport and wide array of retail and other infrastructure made it the obvious choice for the organisation’s new Gold Coast City campus.

“It was crucial for our students to easily find and reach us so The Rocket ticked all the boxes for us,” he said.

GCTA head of school Sherelle French said CBDRobina’s fantastic public transport, great social atmosphere as well as the opportunity for her academy to expand had motivated her move from Burleigh Heads.

“We are now in an ideal location for our students while gaining a premises that allows us to more than triple our previous capacity,” she said.
