Digital marketing and offshore staffing company, AMBS Solutions, will relocate its headquarters to CBDRobina, after snapping up a stand-alone office in Robina Group’s CityPods development this week.

AMBS Solutions purchased the 166sqm dual-level office, to house its expanding team, with plans to move in to the new space upon its completion at the end of the year (2014).

Bennett Constructions is building the latest stages of CityPods – stages three and four – which comprise a total of seven two-storey stand-alone office buildings, available for sale or lease.

The first two stages of CityPods, which were recently completed, feature eight offices housing a range of businesses including national medical device distribution specialist Pyramed, design and construction management company Airport Consulting Group and a project sales and investment real estate office.

AMBS Solutions director Airlie MacLachlan said she looked for a suitable office space for her company for nearly three years before finding CityPods in CBDRobina.

“We are moving from our headquarters in Mudgeeraba because we wanted to be in a more central and contemporary environment,” she said.

“It was difficult to find a brand new, well designed office space in a CBD location that was competitively priced whilst still providing a solid base for investment growth. However, CityPods really ticked all of these boxes.

“The demand for complete package digital marketing and quality offshore staffing means that our company is expanding rapidly, so it was important to find a place with a flexible floorplan that allowed for growth.

“The location of CityPods in Robina means we are within easy reach of our client base and, from an investment perspective, the suburb is in the box seat for growth, so it made sense to purchase rather than lease.

“It’s also great in terms of work-life balance – CityPods is close to the motorway, train station and Robina Town Centre, so it’s an easy commute from home and close to shops and other services we need.”

Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said the strong sales and leasing record for CityPods so far, combined with the current strength of the CBDRobina commercial market meant interest in the development had continued to grow.

“Construction on stages three and four is well advanced, and with the buildings now taking shape, we have had plenty of enquiry from a range of prospective purchasers and tenants,” he said.

“Businesses can see what we have created at CityPods, and recognise that this is much more than your average office precinct.

“Each CityPod is a two storey stand-alone office space, which is a blank canvas for businesses to make their own – with top shelf finishes like polished concrete floors, a concrete and timber reception desk, feature timber staircase and kitchenettes included as standard.

“The CBDRobina commercial market is in high demand, with consistently low vacancy rates and established infrastructure to support the number of new businesses moving to the area.

“To date we have had enquiry and sales from small to medium businesses from across Gold Coast City, as CBDRobina continues to establish itself as a prime location for companies to operate from.”

The sale was negotiated by Leonie Smith of Smith Commercial, who said the AMBS Solutions had secured a prime business investment.

“This tenancy has excellent street frontage, which provides branding and signage opportunities for AMBS Solutions, which was a key tactic for growing their business,” she said.

“CityPods are also designed to capture natural light and breezes, so it’s a bright and airy workspace which is welcoming to employees and clients.”
