The M1 Business Precinct within CBDRobina on the central Gold Coast continues its success with the recent sale of a 5201 square metre development site which will accommodate a radical new indoor trampoline centre called Bounce Inc.
The site is the second last one available in the Scottsdale Drive-centered M1 Business Precinct which Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said has been very successful.
“This latest sale has been made to a company called Space Frame, Design and Construct Solutions, which is going to build the indoor trampoline centre for Bounce Inc,” he said.
“The sale of Lot 537 means we have only have one remaining site available in the M1 Business Precinct.
“Lot 538, which is 3151 square metres in size, fronts Energy Circuit and is located between the successful M1X Energy Centre and soon to be constructed Bounce Indoor Trampoline Centre .”
Mr Slater said the M1 Business Precinct had attracted a diverse range of business operators including Condev Constructions, Australian Industry Trade College, Pacifica Seafood and Queensland Police.
Real Estate Agents Luke Wray and Craig George of Chase Commercial were instrumental in bringing together the three stakeholders in the deal, Space Frame, Bounce Inc and Robina Group.
Mr Wray, who brought the purchaser and tenant together, said Bounce Inc was looking for a central, high traffic location for its indoor trampoline centre.
“We obviously have known of the M1 Business Precinct for some time and thought it would be ideal for all parties,” he said.
Space Frame director-operations, Peter Raspotnik said his organisation was now in discussions with Bounce Inc to finalise plans for their construction.
Bounce Inc managing director Simon McNamara said the new indoor trampolining centre would be in a 2200 square metre building comprising approximately 1800 square metres of recreation space, with more than 100 interconnected trampolines, dodgeball courts, 500sqm of circus grade padding and giant airbags.
“We believe that everyone wants to fly through the air and bounce off the walls so we have created a massive indoor trampoline universe packed with lots of high octane, extreme fun things to do,” he said.
“Bounce Inc is a spring-loaded urban playground with a wide range of things to do. Bounce has struck a chord with a wide variety of people ranging from mums and dads, childrens’ groups, professional sports teams, health and fitness enthusiasts, skiing and dividing pros, gymnasts, school groups, kids party organisers and thrill seekers.
“We are looking forward to opening our first centre on the Gold Coast.”
He said approximately 80 jobs would be created largely aimed at younger staff members. “We have a unique speed dating type of process to find the right people to work at Bounce which enables us to identify the sort of people who share our values and live life to the fullest,” he said
There are existing Bounce Inc centres in Victoria, Western Australia and Brisbane.
“We decided on CBDRobina because the demographic of the surrounding community, with a lot of families, fits perfectly with our customer base,” he said.
“Robina Town Centre is very successful and the surrounding community comprises the very people who we target to come to our centres.”
Bounce Inc Robina is set to open early next year.
Mr Slater said M1 Business Precinct had been popular because of its prime position within CBDRobina and the transportation network surrounding it.
“With the heavy rail running to Robina and Varsity, easy access to the M1 motorway, the Gold Coast Airport only 20 minutes away and its central location right at the geographic heart of the Gold Coast M1 Business Precinct ticks all the boxes for a lot of companies,” he said.
“The M1 Business Precinct is also located in a well established commercial, retail and residential area, home to Easy T, Robina Town Centre, Robina Automall, Masters Home Improvement, the Queensland Health Hub and Cbus Super Stadium, so those who move into the precinct are in good company.
“There is also a dearth of suitable ready to be developed commercial sites within the central Gold Coast region.
“We are confident that the ‘Full House’ sign will be soon going up at M1 Business Precinct.”
