The Brisbane Young Entrepreneur event for 2015 was held on Friday the 24th of October at Victoria Park with the winners in each category being announced on the night.

More than 200 guests were present at the gala night to see the winners chosen among the finalists in 10 categories, with a new category added this year  for the most social conscience entrepreneurs.

Grant Wechsel, founder of One Key Resources was awarded Brisbane Young Entrepreneur for 2015 for his innovation in the mining recruitment sector resulting in high growth within a struggling coal industry.

Wechsel said he saw an opportunity to combine staffing with productivity training when he launched his company in 2010 and is forecasting a 193 per cent increase in revenue in the 2016 financial year.

Business News Australia managing director Camilla Jansen said it was important for business owners to be acknowledged for their achievements.

“I want to congratulate Grant and all of the finalists on the night, who have shared their inspiring stories and innovative business ideas,” said Jansen.
