Peak Physique Hot Yoga opens to a full house in Robina

Robina/Varsity Lakes is home to an ever-increasing number of business operators, who are attracted to the central location and growing resident population.

Owner-operator of Peak Physique Hot Yoga Robina, Kasey Nicole, specifically chose CBDRobina to offer corporate wellness sessions, and inclusive community classes catering to a diverse Gold Coast clientele.  This new business is based just four minutes from Robina Town Centre, and a short walk to Varsity Lakes Train Station.

Peak Physique Hot Yoga opened to resounding support from locals last weekend, who packed the studio to give it a try.  The insideR team caught up with Kasey at the pumping launch event, to find out more about her business journey and why she chose to build her brand in the sought-after business hub of Robina.

Three months ago, Kasey relocated from Ballarat to the Gold Coast to establish her first business and to be closer to the ocean.  Kasey tells insideR, “I’ve always been attracted to the coastal lifestyle, and as my sister is starting a family here, the move made sense.”

“Venturing outside the corporate sphere, and my previous role with the Department of Justice, I am taking steps toward turning my passion for hot yoga into a full-time lifestyle, having recently opened Peak Physique Hot Yoga Robina.”

As the lines between work and downtime are often blurred, Kasey believes it is essential to take the time to reconnect, with the practice of hot yoga allowing people to do this.

She told us what she loves most about living on the Gold Coast is the scenic environment, “I am enjoying the incredibly relaxed vibe, it’s quite different to Melbourne.”

Robina stood out as the perfect place for Kasey to establish her business. When considering possible studio locations, she said Robina just felt like the place to be – all roads kept leading to Robina – literally!

With her background in corporate services, as well as facilitation of developmental programs, she believes that a CBDRobina location makes sense to offer corporate yoga and team building workshops.

When we delved a little more into the benefits of Hot Yoga, she told us that hot yoga has some obvious benefits: accelerated weight loss, improved fitness, flexibility, mobility and general wellness.

“Personally, the benefit that has had the most profound impact, is the ability to fall more easily into states of mindfulness and meditation.”

“My goal is to create an environment where people can truly develop themselves and experience a sense of community.”

Kasey began practicing yoga when she was around 18 and she first experienced Bikram Yoga during her early twenties, and just over a year ago she began consistently practising.

“I felt as though I had finally found a modality of exercise made for me, and after six months of regular practice, I experienced not only the physical benefits but also a deepening of resilience, increased self-love and clarity.

In just six months, these changes ultimately altered my life trajectory. I am incredibly grateful to be able to practice hot yoga and now, to share my positive journey with others.”

The Robina studio timetable includes the signature sequence Hot Physique as well as various other classes which incorporate upper body, core and leg workouts.

“I very much look forward to welcoming all Robina’s hot yogis and invite local business to try our corporate wellness programme.”
