Good reasons to get moving in Robina and Varsity Lakes
Days of having to schlep all the way to the Gold Coast’s tourist hubs for free and fun activities will soon be a distant memory.
Since my election, I’ve been on a mission to ensure that families living in Robina and Varsity Lakes have access to this same standard of enjoyment – with the convenience of it right on their doorstep.
Investment behind the Active &Healthy program across our community centres and parks.
For those not familiar with its benefits, Active & Healthy is a year-long program of free and low-cost sport, recreation, fitness and wellbeing activities designed to get us fit, healthy, socially connected and enjoying the outdoors.
There’s a variety of classes on offer depending on your taste and needs – so getting involved will ensure they remain on the calendar in the future.
Here’s a glimpse of program highlights for Division 11:
- Tai Chi on the waterfront
- Outdoor gym workout
- Total body resistance class
- Mums ‘n Dads bootcamp
- Core yoga
- Zumba
- Meditation
- Self-defence
- Tiny temple ninjas
- Stroller group
- CPR workshop
All activities are run by professionals during school terms so you can rest easy knowing you’ll get great bang for your buck.
The program is wrapped up in a handy guide; collect one from my office at Robina or check it out online here:
