An all-ages free music event
An essential mid-weekend entertainment venture, the final Live at Bond music series will coincide with Bond University’s Twilight Open Day, creating an action-packed culture-immersed event. The final instalment of the 2016 Live at Bond series will see the year out with our home grown, local talent rocking the stage.
Headlining will be the Electro-pop stylings of Burleigh Heads locals, Sunset City. The four-piece group has acquired a loyal Gold Coast following and they are now making waves on the Australian pop scene. Set to launch their latest track to the Live at Bond crowd, fans at the event will be the first to hear new music from their debut album, yet to be released.
Warming up the stage will be the up and comers from a range of local Gold Coast high school bands, performing in a variety of genres, so be sure to show them your support.
Live at Bond concert series
The popular Live at Bond concert series has built a strong following of fans and music lovers of all ages from all over our sun-loving city, and showcases a combination of professional headlining artists as well as our emerging musicians.
Live music has always been an essential component of a successful album campaign. Indeed, a particularly well-performed show can be the defining moment which proves an artist is “about to take off.” Live at Bond is one of the only free music event series on the Gold Coast giving our home grown talent an opportunity to play on an open air stage to an encouraging crowd.
The all ages free gig which coincides with Bond University’s Twilight Open Day will be held on Saturday, July 23 and will take place in Bond University’s ADCO Amphitheatre, kicking off at 2.45pm. The event will also feature campus tours, art and architectural installations, street food and bars, and live entertainment culminating in a fireworks display over Bond’s famous lake.
