Robina is proving to be top of the class for education providers, with Arcadia College the latest to secure a stake in the fast-growing education hub, snapping up a 2,500sqm site from master developer, Robina Group.

The acquisition puts Arcadia College among a growing list of specialist education providers with a presence in Robina, including internationally renowned Bond University, Evocca College, The French Beauty Academy and Australian Industry Trade College.

Robina is also home to Gold Coast’s prestigious secondary schools All Saints Anglican School and Somerset College.

The site, secured by Arcadia College is situated on Centreline Place in Robina’s Stadium Village precinct, alongside Bond University’s Institute of Health and Sport, Robina’s train station and transport hub and Cbus Super Stadium.

The sale of the site, which is approved under the Robina Central Planning Agreement, was negotiated by Robina Marketing Australia’s Marcus Weld and will settle in September.

Arcadia College, established on the Gold Coast in 2013, is currently based in commercial offices at Varsity Lakes with plans being finalised for the new site in Robina.

Robina Group General Manager Hylton Slater said Robina’s location at the geographic heart of Gold Coast City makes it a strategic choice for education providers, including Arcadia College.

“We have a number of education providers circling approved, development-ready sites in this precinct, and Robina continues to grow its reputation as an education hub,” he said.

“A central location and availability of public transport were key priorities for Arcadia College, making Robina its number one choice.

“We look forward to working with their team over the coming months.”

Mr Slater said Robina, a designated Principal Regional Activity Centre, had become one of Gold Coast City’s key service nodes.

“No other Gold Coast business hub is as easily accessible from across the city as Robina and that is appealing to major service providers, particularly in the education and health sectors,” he said.

“The location close to the M1 Motorway puts 96 per cent of the city’s population within a 30 minute drive and the train station and transport hub makes it just as easy to reach via public transport.

“This accessibility coupled with established services and infrastructure, the availability of approved development-ready sites and high calibre of businesses already based in sought after CBDRobina, is appealing to companies across the board.”

Sites in Robina benefit from the Robina Central Planning Agreement (RCPA), which was enacted under an Act of Parliament, and grants Robina substantial planning benefits.
