Lemonade at Bond
Bond University’s annual Twilight Open Day is set for Saturday 22 July and includes campus tours, installations, workshops, street food, bars, a series of live local acts and a fireworks display.
The open day gives potential students the opportunity to explore, experience, ask and enjoy all things related tot he University.
Gold Coast soul band ‘Electrik Lemonade’ will headline Live at Bond in July, following their Australian tour.
Formed in December 2010, Electrik Lemonade is the brainchild of nine Gold Coast artists, who play a repertoire of original funk, blues, hip hop, soul and dance music and the group are renowned for thier visual and energetic shows.
Elecrtrik Lemonade guitarist Jake Hudson said the band was looking forward to playing to a local crowd as part of Live at Bond.
“We have wanted to play Live at Bond for nearly five years now, but unfortunately the planets have just never aligned for us,” he said.
“We are so pumped that this year it is all happening and we are absolutely stoked to play to the crowd at Bond some of our best original soul music.
Bond University’s open day starts from 2pm on Saturday, 22 July with entertainment to commence at the ADCO Amphitheatre from 3pm.
Other groups performing include DJ Nova and talented performers from All Saints Anglican School and Toowoomba Grammar School.
Electrik Lemonade takes the stage from 6:30pm, followed by fireworks over the lake at 8:00pm and families are welcome to come along.
Enjoy street food on offer from some of the Gold Coast’s most popular food trucks.
Twilight Open Day and Live at Bond are free, all-ages events.
