I hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this holiday season with your loved ones and get out and about in this wonderful place we call home.

Please stay safe on our roads and be prepared in this summer storm season.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The Robina Christmas tree

Robina is looking shiny and new this Christmas, with fresh, sophisticated lighting to make our area sparkle a whole lot brighter.

Check out the new festive lights on the tree situated at the roundabout on Ron Penhaligon Way, Cheltenham and Cottesloe Drive, Robina.

It will continue to spread Christmas cheer and light up every night for the duration of this month.

Summer reading club

This year City Libraries have partnered with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to encourage kids to keep reading over the long summer school holiday break.

Rollie the library larrikin rainbow lorikeet wants you to sign up, get reading and submit your reading records to go in the draw to enjoy an amazing City Libraries day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where you can meet all of his Aussie bush buddies.

Register at the Robina library now. The more you read, the better chance you’ll have in the draw to join us on Sunday 19 February 2017.

25,000th tree planted at Robina City Parklands

The 25,000th tree was recently planted at Robina City Parklands.

A special thanks to the 40 students from Robina High School that were part of this milestone event.

This is a wonderful achievement for the site, especially in the lead-up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games™
