Robina Town Centre unveils its new Central Mall

FASHION GIANT H&M AMONG THE FIRST TO SET UP SHOP

Renowned for whipping savvy shoppers into a high fashion frenzy, global retail giant H&M has settled into Robina Town Centre’s new-look Central Malls precinct – the final stage of a multi-million dollar redevelopment.

Central Mall Two – an $88 million lifestyle wing – has connected the premium fashion mall with The Kitchens dining and fresh food marketplace, providing additional entries to Myer.  This mall completes a $270 million upgrade which has added 50,000sqm of retail space to the super-regional shopping centre.

Visitors will notice a continuation of the striking timber-dominant, curvilinear architecture which featured in the The Kitchens and Central Mall One, where the iconic ceiling has become somewhat instafamous in its own right.

The latest expansion has made room for a throng of new retailers, with Ollie’s Place and Toymate welcomed to the precinct. Existing tenants The Body Shop reopened in their new retail home and Kookai, Forever New and Guess will launch new concept stores later in the year.  Popular cafe Crema Espresso will also set up shop in the lifestyle mall.

As the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Central Mall Two project, H&M opened its doors to Robina shoppers at the start of August, unveiling 2,800sqm of retail space across two floors – housing women’s, men’s and children’s apparel and accessories alongside homewares.

Robina Town Centre Manager Shaine Beveridge said the Central Malls project bolstered the centre’s position as the region’s most vibrant urban shopping, leisure and entertainment destination, now boasting more than 400 retailers.

“These latest works add to the vast retail and lifestyle offering at Robina Town Centre, giving our loyal customers yet another reason to visit our dynamic centre,” he said.

“We are proud to progressively welcome well-known retailers to our centre, including the Gold Coast’s newest H&M, which is already proving to be a hit with customers.

“We have also added a new entertaining play space; Tree Top Play for families to enjoy.

Inspired by the rainforest which surrounds Robina to the west, Tree Top Play draws off the flora and fauna found in the Gold Coast Hinterland.  The immersive play area was custom designed by VM+ to be a place of interactive learning and fun, and includes a custom built cubby house and magical fairy lights.  Custom made ottomans are the perfect place for parents to unwind while their small people explore.

“It’s been a busy few months for the centre, with recent Greek, Italian and American-influenced additions Zeus, Ciao Ciao and Lord of the Wings drawing crowds to The Promenade (read last month’s insideR article and our reviews on these restaurants here).

“We remain committed to evolving Robina Town Centre for the local community, and we can’t wait to reveal more exciting additions to our centre in the coming months.”
