Get ready for all things on wheels at Mudgeeraba Showground as the highly-anticipated Gold Coast Car Show returns this month! A two-day event held on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th August, locals are in for some fun and family-friendly entertainment as the 9th Annual show makes its roaring comeback.
“Rock and Retro Car Show”
Saturday 11th August 11 am – 7 pm
Saturday is “family day” at the Gold Coast Car Show, and it’s all about the retro feel! Take a stroll down the show’s famous ‘Memory Lane’, a legendary ode to the 50s, 60s and 70s. You’ll see vintage cars, hot rods, VW Kombi, VW Beetles, and a display of retro caravans including Sunliners, Airstreams, Retro Pods and more. Kick it old school in the afternoon with live music, performances from local dance club The Jive Cats and a dance-off competition – complete with costumes, of course. Carnival rides will keep the kids entertained (it’s $20 for unlimited rides all day), and Saturday is the only time you can catch the famous Monster Trucks display. The day will wrap up with a stunning firework spectacular from 6:30 pm on Saturday night. You won’t want to miss it!
“Everything on Wheels”
Sunday 12th August 11 am – 3 pm
Organisers have dubbed Sunday 12th August to be “everything on wheels” day, with the coast’s most impressive display of show cars, trucks, bikes, 4WD’s and more. While both show days will feature all types of cars and retro caravans, Sunday will make a special feature of all prestige cars and show vehicles, with live entertainment throughout the day from local band Follow the Fox and trophy presentations in the afternoon.
All weekend you’ll find market vendors and auto trade stalls for the car lovers, kids carnival rides, loads of delicious street food options, and a licensed bar area. Whether you’re a revhead or a rockabilly fan, this is sure to be an exceptional winter weekend out for the whole family!

Adult tickets are $20, pensioners and students (aged 13-17) are $15, and admission is free for kids 12 years old and under.
