Food glorious food

Greek food lovers rejoice, Jimmy Grants is coming to Robina oh so soon!

Soon you’ll be able to try the popular Papadopoulos souva made of tender lamb, mustard aioli and parsley wrapped in a soft pita seasoned and served with seasoned chips.

Previously if you wanted to try one of the signature offerings at George Calombaris’ casual eatery Jimmy Grants, you would have had to travel to Melbourne.

According to Jimmy Grants marketing manager Andrew Hunting, the delicious food and affordable prices have been the main reasons for the chain’s success and the first QLD eatery will launch at Robina Town Centre’s new exclusive “The Kitchens” foodie precinct.

“There are good reasons why Jimmy Grants is coming to the Gold Coast, including the great position we’re taking at Robina, the local demographic and booming population of the whole region and, of course, the opportunity to offer something completely new to both locals and visitors. We’re excited to open our first store outside Melbourne at Robina for all of these reasons.

“We’d like to keep the final design and fitout details as a surprise to be unwrapped on opening day (and it is amazing!), but Jimmy Grants Robina will certainly be a warm and inviting place to dine. An open kitchen bar, takeaway section and spacious indoor and outdoor seating options are the key design features. It’s also one of the biggest stores we’ve undertaken.”

George Calombaris is a renowned chef who opened the first Jimmy Grants outlet in Fitzroy, Melbourne in 2013 along with business partner Geroge Sykiotis. Praise and support for the Greek street food eatery has allowed it to expand to five locations in Melbourne with the next one to make its debut in Gold Coast City’s Robina with a few new items being thrown onto the menu.

So if you’re interested in souvlaki, spit-roasted chicken and grain salads, keep an eye out for Jimmy Grants opening at Robina Town Centre’s  later this year.
