Kids Activities

The activities for kids will kick off at midday at the Lake Street Outdoor Gym with lots fun filled active & healthy events for all ages.  Hosted by Chris Barnes (Jetts Fitness) & Dan Keegan (Temple Gym) there will be a ‘KIDS NINJA’ course and lots of other activities designed to get your heart started, and to entertain the kids.

At 3pm the Varsity Street Fest will begin with street art, singing, dancing, food, jumping castles, loads of kids activities and much, much more

Later on the little people can participate in the Street Fest ‘Kids Treasure Hunt’, or how about just burning off some of that energy at the bouncy castle? Carnival rides, face painting and kids activities will keep everyone occupied through the afternoon. Keep an eye out for the stilt walkers!

Blackboard Coffee, which is set right at the heart of the Winterfest action will be launching their amazing new initiative ‘Blackboard Power Plant’ on Saturday.  From 1.30 to 5.30pm they will be handing out seeds to any kids who want to take on the challenge of growing their own veggies at home.  Best of all, Blackboard will commit to buying the produce back off the budding gardeners to use in the cafe, giving them both pocket money and a great experience!  To find out more about this amazing local infinitive visit the Blackboard Power Plant Facebook page here.
