These past few weeks have been exciting for Robina and we’ve seen a number of wins that will ensure an improved lifestyle is nothing but a hop, skip and a jump away for residents.

The new Active & Healthy Program is here

Get ready to enjoy a new and improved city-wide Active & Healthy program for 2017-18.

There are more exciting free and low-cost activities planned for Division 11 – including a free and weekly Tai Chi class on the Varsity Lakes waterfront (opposite Blackboard).

There’s something for all ages and abilities:

  • Mature age men’s fitness
  • Yoga
  • Music for children (0-4 years)
  • Hawaiian Hula dance
  • Zumba
  • Stroller groups
  • Arakan Martial Arts
  • Ballet
  • Heart Foundation group walks

Introducing the Robina Farmers, Designer and Street Eat Markets

Robina is set to host a new and vibrant market!

There’ll be everything from fresh produce, gourmet street food, craft stalls to live music.

It all starts from Sunday 27 August from 8am-2pm at Robina State School situated at 13 Killarney Avenue. The markets are a trial so be sure to get behind them if you want to see them stay!

Launch of the NaturallyGC program

The City’s new NaturallyGC program has launched and Division 11 will be the host of a number of exciting activities to encourage all ages to get outdoors and learn about our environment.

Activities include:

  • Junior Landcare tree planting
  • Nature Play with Sparky Do Dah
  • Wildlife Shows
  • GroNatives on the GC (native gardening)
  • Native Stingless Bees
  • Gold Coast’s Biggest Tree Planting (exciting details coming soon for this Robina event!)
  • Plus MORE!

Support for community events and initiatives

Eligible community groups will soon have the chance to secure funding support for their community events and projects through my upcoming Divisional Donations program.

There’s a total of $30,000 available – applications open on Monday 7 August until early September.
