Show me the fun

The Gold Coast Show will be celebrating its 110th birthday when it runs from Friday the 26th of August to Sunday the 28th of August at the Gold Coast Turf Club in Bundall.

It’s expected that 30,000 people will pass through the gates at the annual event this year and get amongst show favourites such as the traditional cake stalls and of course the rides and ever-popular show bags.

Some new things to experience this year include the 100m dash with young sprinters able to compete for $5000 worth of prizes. Heats are being held at Griffith University on August 25 with the six fastest male and female runners from each age group racing for a podium position on Friday.

Also a new event this year, “Cowboy War” will include 25 of Australia’s most skilled bull riders complete with pyrotechnics, sound and lighting.

You’ll also be able to see a whole host of hot rods, muscle  and classic cars at the featured Auto Mania Show and Shine competition with judging taking place over the various categories.

One of the most exciting new additions this year is the all-day ride wristbands which are available for pre-purchase and allow children to experience all the rides as many times as they like during the day.

All day ride pass prices:
