Free Community Activities Galore

Robina Community Centre (including Robina Library, Art Gallery and Auditorium) has an absolute plethora of activities, classes, concerts and community events – many of which are free.

With a 5 year old (now at school) and a 2 year old to entertain, I’m absolutely crazy for not checking out the free entertainment available for babies and kids sooner.  In any case, Edie (2) and I decided that as an addition to our fun trip to the Robina Library, we would check out Baby Rhyme Time at the Community Centre last Wednesday.

We were not disappointed with a stable of ‘classics’ on offer including: Incy Wincy; Humpty Dumpty; 5 Fat Sausages; Galumph went the Little Green Frog; and a few Wiggles songs thrown in for good measure.

There was probably close to 100 people there including a mix of mums, dads, carers and grandparents with their babies up to pre-school aged kids.

The kids had a blast boogieing away and shaking their sillies out. We finished off with a healthy dose of bubble action as an encore that went down a treat.

Thank you to Bev and Brooke who put in a stellar performance out the front of the discerning audience.

Hot tip:  Make sure you head to the main auditorium instead of hanging around waiting in the library for the fun to start!

What, Where, When?

Interactive Baby Rhyme Time is held at the Auditorium of the Robina Community Centre at 9.15-9.45am every Tuesday and Wednesday. No need to book.

To continue to fill those sponge-like brains after baby rhyme time, head over to the library where there is story time session for the kiddos every Wednesday at 10am.
